Tequila Tasting

Tequila, one of Mexico's official Pueblos Mágicos (magical towns), is located about 90 miles east from Puerto Vallarta. The red volcanic soil in the region is particularly well suited to the growing of the blue agave, and more than 300 million of the plants are harvested there each year. This blue agave grows differently depending on the region and the region affects the aroma and taste.

Our agave expert, Luis, will walk you through small-batch, artisanal tequilas as we explore the distinct differences between each category. We will discuss how to distinguish between blanco, reposado and anejo tequilas. You'll leave the tasting knowing what to order in the future and be able to expertly tell the difference in taste and aroma.
