Accessibility Statement
Updated 2026-11-02
El Tasting Room wants everyone to be able to read about our tastings, book a seat and find us, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This page says what we do, what we know is not perfect yet, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA across eltastingroom.mx in English and Spanish.
What is in place
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone; a "Skip to content" link appears on the first Tab press.
- Headings, landmarks and lists are real HTML, so screen readers can move around the page.
- Photos have written descriptions; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Text and controls keep a contrast of at least 4.5:1 against the dark background.
- Forms have labels and clear error messages, and the phone field accepts any country code.
- Animations respect the "reduce motion" setting of your device.
- The page works at 200% zoom and on phones from 360px wide without sideways scrolling.
- The language of each page is declared, and you can switch between English and Spanish on every page.
Known limits
- Booking happens in a window provided by Peek, our booking partner. We have asked them about its accessibility, but we cannot change it ourselves.
- The embedded Google map is provided by Google; the address and a text link to directions are always next to it.
- Our live menu is a separate site (eltastingroom.menu) with its own accessibility.
